“Coffee Table” format

What is the coffee table?

It is an open and networking format, where a topic of interest is presented for 15 minutes and in which feedback is received from the participants with observations and questions. Support material can be used.

On October 26 in the afternoon this methodology will be carried out for the presentation of good practices, projects, services or problems related to accessibility, disability and education. Two and a half hours will be available for all activity.

Each ACCESS partner country must organize its space in a work table where not only project participants but also RITIE members and local actors interested in knowing what is being done in the institutions will be received and countries. Posters, presentations and supporting material can be used.

For RITIE members who are interested in presenting their topics of interest, they should communicate it to the emails:
machacon@itcr.ac.cr and cespinach@itcr.ac.cr.

Each country must organize itself to choose the topic it will present. Spain and Greece can also participate. To organize the space, the following recommendations are provided:

  • Present the topic of interest without losing focus on secondary aspects.
  • Organize the information to present it in 15 minutes.
  • Allow participants at each table to make observations, questions and comments at the end of their presentation for 15 min.

To organize the information and present the topic consider:

  • That the topic represents for the country a good practice, a challenge, support from other actors or a problem.
  • Characterize the theme by adding articulations, gaps, resources, etc.
  • Present conclusions on the topic.

Once the presentation and feedback time has elapsed, new participants are received at the table and the dynamic is repeated. On September 30, the confirmation of the countries that will make their presentation is closed, an aspect that is of great relevance due to the logistics that the organization represents.
